Kodak's Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film is a classic high-speed panchromatic film designed for a wide array of shooting conditions. Characterized by its fine grain quality, notable edge sharpness, and high resolving power, Tri-X 400 also exhibits a wide exposure latitude with consistent tonality. As an all-around, highly versatile film, Tri-X 400 is a standard choice for photographing in difficult lighting conditions as well as when working with subjects requiring good depth of field or for faster shutter speeds.

An icon of the film world, Kodak was formed in 1888 by George Eastman and became so successful that by 1975 they sold 90% of all film and 85% of all film cameras sold in the United States were produced by Kodak. Unfortunately, the rise of digital photography and later mobile photography meant that Kodak’s success diminished, ultimately resulting in bankruptcy in 2012.

Fortunately the photography side of the business continues to operate today under the Kodak Alaris name. This means we’re able to continue using the Kodak films we all know and love, with Kodak further showing their commitment to film with the recent revival of the iconic Ektachrome 100 film.
