Kodak's Professional T-Max 400 is a black and white negative film characterised by an extremely fine grain along with high sharpness. This film has been optimised for both scanning and enlarging. More forgiving in varied lighting situations than the Kodak T-MAX 100 equivalent.
An icon of the film world, Kodak was formed in 1888 by George Eastman and became so successful that by 1975 they sold 90% of all film and 85% of all film cameras sold in the United States were produced by Kodak. Unfortunately, the rise of digital photography and later mobile photography meant that Kodak’s success diminished, ultimately resulting in bankruptcy in 2012.
Fortunately the photography side of the business continues to operate today under the Kodak Alaris name. This means we’re able to continue using the Kodak films we all know and love, with Kodak further showing their commitment to film with the recent revival of the iconic Ektachrome 100 film.
