Film Bros Travels - Malta Shot on Film 🇲🇹🎞

Both of us love travelling and documenting our adventures on film. Our Film Bros blog is a great platform to share our photos and our travels around the world. On this occasion I (big brother) went to the mediterranean country of Malta at the end of September. The strategically important islands has changed hands numerous times over the last few centuries so it's full of wonderful history, food and architecture.

I suffer from that common issue of always wanting to pack every camera and lens combination that I own for every trip but I'm trying to limit that impulse so I just took along my first and favourite film camera: Canon AE1 Program with the 50mm f/1.8 FD lens. As far as film is concerned, went for a trusted favourite of ours: Kodak Ektar 100 35mm (it is also available in 120 format). As it was the end of September in the mediterranean, there was plenty of sunshine so a lower ISO/slower film was perfectly suitable and the increased saturation that Ektar offers makes it ideal to capture all the beautiful colours of Malta.

Not only did we visit the beautiful sights of Valletta, we experienced a wonderful a boat tour of the islands and enjoyed a day trip to the island of Gozo. We spent five full days exploring Malta but we could certainly spend more time enjoying everything they had to offer including the wonderful cuisine especially around the St Julian marina.

Check out the photos I shot while I out there and if you have any Malta travel recommendations post them in the comments.
